Throughout April, Complete Care West Yorkshire Ltd is proudly taking part in Skills for Care’s #CelebratingSocialCare campaign, shining a spotlight on the dedicated individuals who make a real difference in the lives of those they care for every single day.
As part of the nationwide initiative, the team at Complete Care has launched a month-long celebration packed with heart-warming stories, team events, and community engagement, all designed to recognise the extraordinary efforts of their care staff and highlight the value of social care in West Yorkshire.
“We wanted to show the community what high-quality, person-centred care really looks like,” said Managing Director Sara Booth. “Our staff go above and beyond, and this month is all about giving them the recognition they deserve.”
Central to the celebrations is the team’s much-loved Daily Praise Book – a growing collection of staff nominations from across the service. Every day, colleagues and service users contribute heartfelt messages recognising team members who have gone above and beyond to make a difference in someone’s life. The book, displayed proudly in the office, has become a daily source of pride and positivity.
At the heart of everything Complete Care West Yorkshire does is a deep passion for making a real difference in their local community. Whether it’s supporting people to live independently, lending a listening ear, or simply bringing a smile to someone’s face, the team is driven by compassion and a genuine commitment to care. Their values are rooted in respect, dignity, and enhancing quality of life — not just for service users, but for families and the wider community too.
To round off the month, staff are invited to a special Coffee, Cake & Catch-Up at the Sandal office in Wakefield — a relaxed get-together where team members can unwind, share stories, and celebrate the work they do over a warm drink and slice of cake. This much-loved initiative is held every three months and has been a key part of the organisation’s culture for over a year, offering an informal space for connection, appreciation, and team spirit.
“This campaign has been a reminder of how important it is to stop and say thank you,” said Care Professional Paige Evans. “We’re not just care workers — we’re lifelines for people. Being part of this campaign has made us feel seen and appreciated.”
